Some people.

Check out this rant from a guy on the O’Reilly network. He’s bitching about the keyboard on the Mac laptops being messed up for UNIX users. To be honest, he’s only on the O’Reilly network leaving a comment, not as a columnist or anything.

Anyway, he’s a totaly bonzer. Raves a bit about Apple ignoring UNIX users due to thie keyboard design, then says “Because I can’t live with the broken-by-design built-in ADB keyboard in all Apple laptops, Sony and IBM sold me laptops instead.” The bolding there is from him, not me.

Now, I’m not one of those Mac zealots who believes that Apple can do no wrong. I have a few gripes that are reasonable (a forwarding mac.com email address should be free, dammit) and a few that aren’t (they should replace my loud iBook HD, since it’s driving me nuts). But to say that Apple should care about sales to one freakoid who can’t learn to type Control in a different place… geesh. If I get to that point, slap me hard enough to hit my screen.

Maybe it’ll stop the HD from making noise.
