What a difference…

Posted on Wednesday 30 October 2002

So, I was playing an mp3 for El yesterday (”The Duel” from Electric Dreams, to show her why I loved playing this Moazart piece as a kid) and the cello part was totally messed up. Today another mp3 was sounding muddy so I checked my balance settings on my iBook and they were set all the way to the right.

Wait, stay with me here. So it’s all back to normal now, but the thing is, I’m not sure how long it was like this. I’m listening to things now and appreciating all these little details (like the left channel). It’s as if my whole music collection (on mp3 at least) is revitalized! Like swinging two bats or something.

I can actually hear my alert sound!

And I started to think about my past two weeks spent not working and about the weeks to come and it’s the same thing: my life is either pegged to the right or left.

Need some balance.

    Freak. Geek. All compliments.

It’s official, by the way. Matt went down to the UCSD bookstore and picked up my new titanium g4 powerbook yesterday. I get to see it and touch it for the first time tomorrow afternoon when he gets back from San Diego. I can’t wait.

Gaa! Everyone has a faster computer than me now.

    Sigh.
