Tonight was the Buffalo Joe’s Brown Bag session of training, our little joke rebellion against the work brown bag presentations during lunch. This one’s topic was “Make fun of pretentious coworkers while eating wings.” It went very well.
The coolest part of orientation, besides the warm cookies, is meeting people from other offices. Too bad I won’t really see some of them after this, ever.
This weekend finished well. Adam and I went apartment hunting on Sunday. I drove and he did the writing. After an hour or two of driving around (in which I obstructed traffic like it was my job) we went back to his place and checked out rent.com, which was much better at finding property. We found two places in budget with air con, deck, balcony, patio, fireplace, and maybe even washer and dryer in unit…
El and I watched Moulin Rouge on DVD Sunday night. And last night I got to talk to ‘laina and Sil. Sil cut off her hair! Crazy. I told her to send a picture, but she says her digital camera’s AC adapter is AWOL.
I’ve been plugging away at the Tribune’s Sunday crossword for a couple days now. I will finish it. Just like I finished my order of wings.
