Training is over! I’m free! To, hm. I’m not sure what I’m going to do with all this free time from now until April. Oh well, now that I’ve gotten a taste of 40 hour work week, I think I’m better equipped to enjoy the last vestiges of slacker life. When we finished the mock project today, I thought all I wanted from the world was a pillow and a blanket. But I think I want to take this time off and do another novel like thing, either prose or a return to the world of comic writing. I do know that I’ll be playing more video games, finding an apartment, hanging out with El and other friends and so any artistic progress is just bonus.
I will miss some of these people from the other offices I spent the last two weeks with (note the use of “some”). Leaving actually was a bittersweet moment. But I think I was the first one out of there, into the cold. For the people starting work right away, they get to see one another in Cancun next week. A couple of them said, “You’re missing the trip!”
I say to them, “You’re missing my last days of disco*.”
*Where disco = novel or comic strip or comic book or something.
