So I need to upgrade the firmware for Traitor so that I can install this software that really wants me to have updated AGP drivers. It also wants me to have my default browser set to IE, but that’s a different issue. The updated firmware isn’t such a big deal (actually, it let me get a DVD player for Traitor from the Compaq site, so I’m happy that I can watch DVD’s in my room on the monitor instead of holding my laptop for 2 hours) but to install this firmware, I need a floppy.
No problem, I said to myself, looking in my computer odds and ends box. Pushed through Zip disks, Jaz disks, old CD’s, and came up with nada. I haven’t needed a floppy in three years.
Ah, found one. Don’t ask me where.
