Real Life Tivo

Deja View

When I was in Don Norman’s class, one of the first papers I helped write was about ubiquitous video recording of real life. He smacked it down a bit, so I’m curious to see whether this company takes off. Of course, they’re going to have to shrink that camera bit. And right now it captures what you see, but want about a rearmounted one for catching all the crap you don’t see???

I also think that some sort of timestamping device is wildly necessary once the camera can record your day. So instead of taking snapshots, you’ll just hit this button after you see something cool. That’ll record a timestamp somewhere so that later you can review 30 seconds of video around that time instead of having to shuttle through hours and hours.
