Eggbeater

I was looking up “synchronized swimming moves” on Google in an effort to find spiffy names to call the software I’m working on. Don’t ask why synchonized swimming. Anyway, the way to tread water is the “eggbeater.” One leg goes clockwise from the knee, the other goes counterclockwise and bam, you’re up, with the arms free for lifting and stuff.

I know a bit about the sport ‘cuz Calista was in synchro. There are no cool names to be had.

Right.

Lately I feel like I’ve just been treading water. Like I keep making these vague goals with a crapload of steps leading up to them, but I just can’t seem to get step one done, so eggbeater. Lots of eggbeater.

I had to go to campus today to do a rehearsal during my lunch hour. I took lunch late in order to make it work. Then I hoofed it over to Kresge. All the rooms have been relabeled to make sense of the new extension. All the classrooms said things like “4-425, formerly 318.” I was walking there and there were all these people I don’t recognize by the Rock, being in college. One of them asked me if I wanted to be a DJ. I waved her off. I’m so freakin’ old. I’ve been out for two years but I still carry my ID in my wallet (for the movie discounts). I’ve been taking it out less and less. I can’t believe I moved into the dorm 5 years ago.

Eggbeater.

I still don’t have an IL driver’s license. I think you’re supposed to get one after you’re a permanent resident for 90 days. I’ve been here as a non student for a whole year now. I’m going o do it this weekend. I’ve been “going to do it” for about 2 or 3 weeks now.

Eggbeater.

I got a Citibank bank account. Kuwie swears it’s better. I believe him and go get one. Do I just need people to tell me what to do?

Eggbeaten.

Does it make you feel any better to think that if you beat enough eggs, and add some other ingredients, you eventually end up with quiche?

    Mmmmm…. quiche.

    =]

What’s up? Are you down? At least you’re employed ;-)

Made me think about the fact that Matt and I got Citibank in Sapporo. Thought it would somehow be better, but it still was a pain in the ass to open an account. Then we found out that we can’t pay our bills there - but we can at any other Japanese bank. More inconvenience. At least they have Internet banking in English.

I have to admit… I’m curious. Stumbled across your site while looking for the music to ‘Scrubs’ the TV series (I’m a med student… so that’s a bit sad I know) … and found your comic. I’m impressed =) Not anything… but I have a couple of frens who are into comics, and drawing, and anime and manga… so there. And your writing style is reminiscent of my brother’s =) Which isn’t a bad thing by the way!! (sorry sorry… don’t mean to start of by offending you! =p ) Anyway.. keep up the writing and the ‘personal expression’ =) I will be dropping in to read your stuff =P
