New phone?

Posted on Wednesday 22 December 2004

I want a new phone… the down key on my T610 seems to be about to give up the ghost. Here are the candidates:

  • Motorola V3 (the RAZR). Mmmm, thin. Also a flip phone, so it would protect the buttons / screen. However, unable to work with a href=’http://homepage.mac.com/jonassalling/Shareware/Clicker/’>Salling Clicker or iSync (through Bluetooth, so… what’s the point?).
  • Sony K700i. Small, like my current phone. Nicer screen. Works with Salling Clicker (but not without some graphical glitches). Works with iSync. Not too much of an upgrade over my current phone.
  • Sendo X. Super featured (it’s a Series 60). Works with Salling Clicker. However, as Adam notes, it’s 4 XBE’s in terms of price (Xbox equivalents). Losing it would suck.
  • As yet unannounced Apple + Moto phone. Should be fan spiffertastic. But it’s not out yet.

So, all signs point to waiting. And we all know how good I am at that.

And now Sony’s S710 looks spiffy too (although perhaps a bit big and also expensive).

Interesting topic… I’m working in this industry myself and I don’t agree about this in 100%, but I added your page to my bookmarks and hope to see more interesting articles in the future
