Sil and I went apartment hunting this morning in the bitter cold. Well, it wasn't that bitter. Anyway it's interesting to note how addresses in one's head don't really translate to the physical world. One place that seemed sort of close on maps.yahoo.com turned out to be farther away, far enough that I think many classes would be skipped by moi next year if we lived there. So we looked at some other neighborhoods and zipped all over and Monday... stage 2 begins.

Just launched barely a week ago and Kip's already crashing the site. *sigh*

K, found out my error. When I moved the scripts into their own js file, I forgot to put the button scripts there, just the nav button scripts. So the archive pages are quite messed. Anyway, I'll fix them when I get home. I also managed to munge the "first" button (by deleting the wrong gif) so I might have to redo all of them. Smoooooth.

K, enough tech talk. New song stuck in my head is Coldplay's "Yellow" It's matching my sad moody brit pop phase very well although the rest of the CD isn't as good as that one song.

I'm sitting at a stupid keyboard right now in a computer lab. It has friendly icons everywhere on it. For example, the space bar has a little "wake up" sign on it. And there's a windows button which I keep hitting by mistake since it's where the "Option" key should be. Finally it has launcher buttons up at the top. One says "www" on it so I pushed it, thinking, "Hey, maybe it will type 'www' for me". But no. It doesn't.

ARGH! I broke the strip buttons. Sorry. I wasn't being malicious, I just was trying to get the page sizes down so that we can spend less of our bandwidth sending the same Javascript over and over again and more of it sending yummy Scrubs goodness. Yay for shared Javascript. I can't wait until some HTML tag allows web designers to src more than just CSS and scripts. What about blocks of text? Text, anyone? Anyway, you might have noticed that the nav bar looks slightly different and also that the buttons stay down when you're in a specific section. Woohoo. However, I broke the buttons and I can't just reexport them because I lost all the template art somehow. So... new buttons coming, definitely before Wednesday when the new strip goes up. Hope I didn't bore you with all this tech talk.

So now that this thing sort of works... I think I'll finally put the link up. Sigh. You know, if I would just get off my butt and run my computer 24 hours a day with OSX so that we can run Scrubs from my room with tons of gewgaws like this weblog and perhaps database access to the strips. But no. I'm keeping my computer a personal one. Even though this is my last year with wicked fast ethernet. Anyway, enjoy the weblog.
