If you all detect a decline in the quality of artwork on this site, you can blame it all on my fingers, half of which were jammed/sprained/mutilated while playing volleyball friday. *nursing fingers while typing with nose agonizingly slowly*

But it was worth it. I had a dream last week where I was playing volleyball on a team, and it was hella fun. So when I woke up, I resolutely decided that I was going to join a volleyball team. I discovered this group that plays every friday at 3, and when I showed up yesterday, I was rapidly reminded of how, while I can bump with the best of them, I can't set worth beans. Thus the crippled fingers. This is a skill I will definitely have to refine if I fear for the safety of my artistic career.

Yet, such is the price for realizing a dream!!

Whoa! Blog posts that aren't from me!!! I'll fight you Sil... Fight back! Just kidding. I'm typing this from a lab computer and I must say, this keyboard's got so much tactile feedback that it hurts. Really. And typing quickly hurts a lot.

So anyway, midterm week is here and I'm surviving. 1 down, 2 to go. And you know what? I slept through the review session. Well, not all of it but enough that my notes are a horrible scrlur (I'm making that word up) down the sides of the page.

Interesting thought of the day... don't you feel badly for those maple seeds that just don't work? The ones that just drop instead of doing that cool spinny thing?

Final note... I say "thing" far too often. I got quoted in the school newspaper about computer viruses and one of the quotes they took was, "These virus things just spread." Made me sound like a frickin' idiot, I tell you.

ALERT!! new tech toy now in Sil's maniacal clutches! That's right, my Wacom Graphire tablet just arrived. *melt*...sadly, I'm forcing myself not to install it until I get my study abroad apps finished, because I know that once I get this miracle of technology operating, I won't be able to pull myself away from my slick slate-gray stylus for a month at LEAST. And these apps are due Feb 1st. AgH, just typing that has reminded me just how much I actually have to do before then. So I guess that's my exiting queue.
